The Gentlemen Season 3 News & Meghan Markle Update
The Duchess of Sussex could make her return to scripted television as talks continue for a possible appearance in Netflix’s hit series The Gentlemen.
Netflix has officially renewed its popular crime-comedy drama The Gentlemen for a third season, while discussions surrounding Meghan Markle’s potential involvement in the upcoming episodes are still ongoing.
According to reports, Meghan Markle remains in talks for a role in the series, although no official agreement has been finalized yet. The production team has already started early preparations for the new season, with scripts currently being developed.
The series, created by filmmaker Guy Ritchie, features a star-studded cast including Theo James and Kaya Scodelario. The renewal comes ahead of the second season premiere, which is scheduled to arrive on Netflix soon.
Meghan Markle’s Possible Acting Comeback
Sources previously revealed that Meghan Markle was being considered for a major role in the show. Reports suggested that conversations between the actress and production team are still at an early stage, and details about the character or number of appearances remain undisclosed.
If finalized, the project would mark one of Meghan’s biggest acting opportunities since stepping away from her role as Rachel Zane in the popular legal drama Suits.
Meghan was filming Suits in Toronto when she met Prince Harry in 2016. She later left the series before their royal wedding in 2018.
From Acting Break to Possible Screen Return
Although Meghan stated in a 2022 interview that she had moved away from acting, she recently appeared in a cameo role in the upcoming film Close Personal Friends, starring Lily Collins and Jack Quaid.
Her appearance on set attracted attention, with reports describing her as comfortable and positive during filming.
The Gentlemen Expands Its Netflix Success
Set in England and filmed across the United Kingdom, The Gentlemen has become one of Netflix’s notable recent successes. The series combines crime, humor and British drama, following the world of organized crime and unexpected power struggles.
With season three now confirmed, fans are waiting to see whether Meghan Markle will officially join the cast and bring a new chapter to her entertainment career.
At this stage, Netflix has confirmed the new season, but Meghan Markle’s involvement remains unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.
